Top Handheld Photo Printers

There are all sorts of handheld, instant photo printers to choose from.

The HP Sprocket and Canon Ivy Mini Photo Printer are two of my favourites for use with the Journal Capsule.

I love my instant photo printer and I highly recommend using one with the journal! It makes adding photos from weekend adventure or weeknight activity easy and quick, so you're more likely to stay on track with memory keeping and always have full pages.

You can find these two models that I recommend on Amazon: HP Sprocket or Canon Ivy

Here's an Instagram reel where I show you how to use the HP Sprocket. And one of the best things about these are that the photo paper comes with adhesive on the back. So your printed photos are ready to use right away.

And for even more instant photo printing options, you can check out the entire HP Sprocket line here and the Canon Ivy line here.

Handheld, portable and connect to your phone via Bluetooth so you can print photos directly.  These portable photo printers are made by trusted brands like Canon, HP and Fuji. I absolutely love my HP Sprocket and use it daily with my journal.

Here's the run down on the basics about these printers and why you'll absolutely love them!

  1. These portable gadgets connect via Bluetooth to your phone
  2. Then, you can print photos wirelessly and directly from your phone using the coordinating app.
  3. They are small and can fit in the palm of your hand! Easy to handle and store.
  4. No ink cartridges! The HP Sprocket and Canon Ivy use ZINK paper. The ink is already in the paper so no need to insert cartridges into the machine. The Instax printer uses Fujifilm's proprietary version of this paper which is similar to a polaroid.
  5. ZINK photo paper comes with a sticky back so the photos are ready to adhere into the journal right after printing! (note that the Instax paper is not)
  6. The print quality is great!
